Bra problems, solved! Like a good friend, your bra should be supportive, make you feel comfortable and give you the confidence you need to conquer whatever life may bring. But as with any relationship, you have to keep it fresh. Excess washing, wearing and body changes, such as weight fluctuations, pregnancy, hormones, aging or surgery can impact your bra size and fit and ultimately, your bra’s ability to properly support you. (It’s estimated that 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra!) An improper-fitting bra is uncomfortable, unflattering and is no friend of yours! For this reason, it’s important to get a Free Expert Bra Fitting at a Soma boutique every six months and re-evaluate whether it’s time to break up with your current bra.

Here are seven signs it might be time to move on:

The band rides up in the back and you can run more than two fingers under it. The band size is too big or too stretched out.
You overflow at the top or sides of the cups The cup size is too small or you need a style with more coverage.
Your straps dig into your shoulders The straps are too tight – try loosening them. If that does not work, your band size is too big or stretched out.
The band feels tight when standing or sitting. Your band is too small.
The cups gap or pucker The cups are too big or you need a style with less coverage.
The center front is lifting off your skin The cups are too small. Note: Minimizers are an exception and may not lie flat at center front.
The underwire pokes, pinches or rests on your breast. The cups are too small.
